Harold Mitas was born and raised on a farm in the Midwest, but it took a long time to find home. He earned a living as a farmer, musician, businessman and entrepreneur, but he's always been a winemaker at heart.

In 1999, Harold and his wife Sue happened upon the golden hillside of their dreams. She with her magical green thumb and he with his visionary spirit embarked on a journey. One vine quickly became two and before long, the rocky soil of Mitas Hill was graced with nearly five thousand vines and seven varietals.

It wasn't long before the whole Mitas family joined in their parents' passion. From Steve and Sherrie, the financier and sommelier to Lisa and Tim, the chemist and connoisseur of winemaking to Michelle the businesswoman and gatekeeper, everyone plays a vital role.

Even the third generation of the Mitas clan joins in for the harvest. It's a family affair. It's a love affair. The future of Mitas Hill is very bright indeed. We'd love for you to join us.
