Bojnice is a blend of Mitas Hill Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. This is a dry, ruby colored wine with moderate tannins, aged for 24 months in oak. It has aromas of red berries, and a hint of licorice and vanilla, with a palate of raspberry, spice, and a hint of toast.
Bojnice is a blend of Mitas Hill Tempranillo and Mitas Hill Cabernet Sauvignon. The wines are aged for over 24 months in French Oak, and then blended together at bottling. The Cabernet Sauvignon imparts a different finish, and additional aromas and flavors on this wine compared to the 100% Tempranillo wine.
Our ancestors were immigrants from Bojnice (pronounced boy-nitsa) in central Slovakia. The Bojnice castle, depicted on the bottle, was built in the 12th century on a travertine hill overlooking the town, is home to the International Festival of Ghosts and Spirits.
